Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Inventory Control Specialist to join our team. The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels, ensuring all materials are accounted for, and supporting efficient production and fulfillment operations.
This role’s primary responsibility is to generate, manage, and ensure the timely completion of all work orders within the Limble Work Order system, while adhering to inventory control best practices.
The Inventory Control Specialist collaborates closely with Production, Fulfillment, Procurement, and Quality teams to ensure smooth operational workflows and accurate real-time inventory visibility.
Responsibilities
Work Order Management (Primary Function)
- Generate all required work orders in Limble based on production schedules, demand planning, and departmental requests.
- Ensure all work orders are released, assigned, and fulfilled accurately and on time.
- Monitor work order progress daily to proactively identify delays, discrepancies, or missing components.
- Close work orders promptly with accurate quantities, materials consumed, and outputs recorded.
- Collaborate with Production and Fulfillment teams to resolve any inconsistencies or shortages.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation and audit trails in Limble for compliance and internal reporting.
Inventory Accuracy & Reconciliation
- Perform routine cycle counts and full physical inventory counts as required.
- Investigate and reconcile inventory variances, documenting root causes and corrective actions.
- Maintain real-time accuracy for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
- Ensure all inbound and outbound transactions are recorded correctly in the inventory system.
Inventory Control Best Practices
- Implement and enforce standardized inventory handling procedures, including labeling, storage, FIFO/FEFO rotation, and lot control.
- Support the development and improvement of inventory workflows to increase accuracy and efficiency.
- Collaborate with Quality and Compliance teams to ensure product traceability and adherence to regulatory requirements (including hemp/CBD compliance where applicable).
- Maintain clean, organized, and easily auditable inventory storage locations.
Cross-Department Collaboration
- Communicate proactively with Purchasing regarding low stock levels, shortages, or delays.
- Support Production and Fulfillment teams by ensuring materials are available and staged when needed.
- Work closely with the Facilities/Maintenance team when work orders involve equipment or asset-related tasks.
Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on inventory accuracy, work order status, and consumption trends.
- Maintain detailed documentation for audits, compliance checks, and internal reviews.
- Identify recurrent issues and recommend process improvements or system enhancements.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or production support (manufacturing, hemp/CBD, or CPG industry experience preferred).
- Proficiency in digital work order systems (experience with Limble is a strong plus).
- Strong understanding of inventory control principles, including cycle counting, lot traceability, FIFO/FEFO, and WIP management.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to analyze data, identify discrepancies, and implement solutions.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally.
- Proficiency with spreadsheets and basic reporting tools.
Salary and Benefits:
- $20.00-23.00 per hour, Non-exempt, Full-time.

Work Schedule:
- Work Location: In person at Santa Fe Springs, CA Headquarters
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., with some flexibility.
